A former employee of Giles County Public Schools is being charged with a variety of offenses, as stated by the sheriff’s office. The arrest of the individual was reportedly the result of an alleged inappropriate contact with a child.
On July 9, the sheriff’s office presented the case to a grand jury in Giles County, and on that day, 23-year-old Kristen Sierra Williams, who resides in Narrows, was indicted on various charges. It was on May 21 that deputies began their investigation into the initial accusation, and this was the result of that investigation.
According to deputies, she was charged with:
- One count of taking indecent liberties with a minor
- One count of using a communications device to commit crimes against children
- One count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Despite the fact that she was arrested on July 10, she was freed from the New River Valley Regional Jail on the same day. This was accomplished by paying a $5,000 secured bond.
