A mother in Lauderdale County is facing murder charges, as reported by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department.

It appears that Kelly McDevitt Jr., a 2-year-old child, was tragically drowned.

Adrienne McDevitt, the child’s mother, was arrested on Wednesday morning and is now facing a charge of murder. Her bond has been set at $500,000.

Adrienne McDevitt is currently receiving medical care at a nearby hospital and is under the custody of the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office.
