According to Galloway Township Police Department, a guy from New Jersey who co-owned a gymnastics and tumbling center was taken into custody last weekend on suspicion of sexually abusing a teenage girl.
According to the officers, they were notified that a 16-year-old girl and an adult guy, identified as Matthew A. Shriver, were having sex.
According to authorities, investigators discovered cell phone evidence that supported the victim’s claims. As a result of this discovery, the 51-year-old’s personal car, cell phone, and Everest Gymnastics & Tumbling Center in Galloway Township were searched.
Following those searches, officials reported finding additional evidence.
Follwing his arrest, Brigantine resident Shriver was accused of aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and other connected offenses.
He was brought to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where he will remain until his initial court appearance.
The community was informed on Facebook by the Everest Gymnastics and Tumbling Center that Shriver is no longer employed there. Additionally, the ad states that he will not be able to access the facilities.
