A man from Blountsville has been found guilty on two counts connected to the sexual abuse of a child, as stated by Assistant District Attorney Scott Gilliland from Alabama’s 41st Judicial Circuit.
Authorities report that 54-year-old Jeffery Allen Gable has been found guilty of sexual torture and sexual abuse involving a child under the age of 12.
Gable faced indictment on these charges in October 2020. The trial commenced on Monday, November 4.
The investigation that started in June 2020 has led to the charges. Blount County authorities were alerted to an incident involving Gable and the sexual abuse of a 3-year-old girl with a sex toy.
Authorities conducted an interview with the child at the Blount County Children’s Center. She explained to the authorities what had occurred.
A hearing for sentencing is set for December 4, 2024.
