Ohio Woman Arrested After Grandchildren Test Positive for Meth and Marijuana

On Wednesday, Taletha Tucker, the grandmother of baby Miya Rudd, was taken into custody at the Ohio County Jail.

A 50-year-old individual faces charges related to the criminal abuse of a child aged 12 or younger, endangerment involving controlled substances, and hindering prosecution or apprehension.

During the inquiry into Miya’s vanishing, authorities reported that no relevant evidence was uncovered at that moment.

Miya had been unaccounted for for several weeks, until authorities reported that her remains were discovered in her family’s residence in Reynolds Station.

Miya’s mother and father, Tesla Tucker and Cage Rudd, were part of the seven individuals taken into custody amid the inquiry.

Authorities report that Taletha’s latest arrest stems from her being granted custody of Tesla’s children, yet she breached a court order by permitting them to remain with Tesla.

Authorities report that the hair samples from the children have shown positive results for methamphetamine and marijuana.

It has come to light that Taletha allegedly provided a significant sum of money to Tesla and Cage, enabling them to evade capture and the onset of this inquiry.
