An individual with a criminal record was apprehended for assaulting their neighbor with a firearm and was discovered to have 17 additional firearms in their possession.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a resident in Apple Valley was riding his dirt bike in front of his home when he was approached by a neighbor. The incident occurred just before 8:45 p.m. on Thursday.
A neighbor, identified by deputies as 42-year-old Kenny Lattinville, reportedly used a handgun to assault the victim, who had left his dirt bike in the roadway and quickly returned home to call 911.
Deputies swiftly responded to the situation and apprehended Lattinville, who was reportedly in his front yard with a rifle and a handgun, shouting towards the victim’s residence. The arrest was made without any additional complications.
A search warrant was issued for Lattinville’s residence as reported by KTLA. Law enforcement officials stated that 17 firearms were located and seized inside the residence.
A person named Lattinville has been taken into custody and is now being held at the High Desert Detention Center. The charges against Lattinville include assault with a firearm and the illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The individual is currently in custody with bail set at $140,000.
