Seattle, WA: Three individuals surrendered to authorities following an incident where a man was wounded in a shooting in Seattle’s Rainier Valley neighborhood on Friday morning.
The Seattle Police Department (SPD) reported that a business owner contacted 911 shortly before 2 a.m. Friday to alert them about “multiple suspects” trying to break into his property on the 3500 block of Rainier Avenue South. The department reported that the 911 caller informed dispatchers that he was on his way to his business to “confront the burglars.”
Shortly after, 911 dispatchers were alerted to a shooting at the 3500 block of Rainier Avenue South. Upon arrival at the location, law enforcement discovered an individual who had sustained a gunshot wound.

Officers assisted the man until Seattle Fire Department crews arrived to take over. He was subsequently transported to Harborview Medical Center. The victim’s condition was initially reported as critical around 2:40 a.m. but was later updated to stable by 5 a.m. by the SPD.
The department mentioned that the man who was shot was a friend of the business owner, but also stated in a blotter post that “many of the details surrounding the shooting are still unclear.”
Three individuals surrendered to the police at the SPD’s South Precinct right after the shooting incident, as reported by the authorities. Investigators are currently interviewing individuals and examining evidence. The investigation is still in progress.
