Several Minors Brutally Molested by Former Emergency Coordinator in Georgia, Found Guilty of Sodomy and Sex Crimes

Raymond Uttaro, a former jailer for Nelson County, was found guilty of all 18 charges on Tuesday by a jury. These accusations included forceful sodomy and many sexual offenses committed against a juvenile.

The Commonwealth Attorney for Nelson County, Daniel Rutherford, stated that the trial lasted for a total of two days. What he claimed was that the victim appeared and testified.

“We are very proud that they had the courage to come forward,” Rutherford added. “We are not ashamed of them.”

As part of his sentencing, Uttaro is scheduled to appear in court once again on August 8th.

“He stated it took “tremendous hard work to get this to happen,” Rutherford said on the subject.

The warrants state that a young child came forward in July of last year and communicated with a forensic investigator about the actions that Uttaro had taken against him. According to the boy’s account to the deputies, Uttaro threatened to kill him if he spoke up while holding a firearm to his head.

In July, David Hill, who had previously served as the sheriff of Nelson County, verified that Uttaro had worked for the office in the 1990s either as a jailer or as a D.A.R.E officer.

The present mechanisms that are in place to ensure that no one like Uttaro is able to work for the office, according to Hill, are in place.
