A 45-year-old woman is being charged with multiple felonies for reportedly abducting and assaulting her husband’s girlfriend and the victim’s 8-year-old son.
On May 28, the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office received information about a distressing incident involving a woman and her son being taken from their home against their will. After eight long hours, deputies were able to locate the two victims.
The adult received medical treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening. Deputies apprehended two individuals on that day but mentioned the possibility of additional arrests.
A few weeks later, on June 20th, the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi was informed that Amy Perez, who had an outstanding warrant, was spotted at a casino in the vicinity. Perez was swiftly apprehended by Tunica County deputies on a range of serious charges, including intimidation of court officials, impersonating a law enforcement officer, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, attempted murder, two counts of kidnapping, and burglary.
According to WPDE-TV’s report During a recent court hearing, Chesterfield County investigator Heather Mays revealed that Perez and her two sons unlawfully entered the victim’s residence.

It is said that she knew her estranged husband would be absent when she and her accomplices abducted the victims. Perez reportedly took them to an empty property, where he allegedly injured the girlfriend by cutting her arm and stabbing her in the lower ribs.
The victim’s liver was lacerated in the stabbing incident, resulting in a hospital stay of approximately three days to treat her injuries.
According to WPDE, there have been recent reports. Perez secretly installed several GPS trackers on her husband’s vehicle. According to reports, she supposedly contacted her estranged husband and made a demand that the victims would be released if he returned to her.
Perez was denied bond by a judge during her hearing on July 23 as per WPDE News.
