Woman arrested after Hot Chase in Louisville; Stolen Vehicle also impounded

Louisville, KY: According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, a lady was taken into custody after she used a stolen vehicle to evade the authorities on Monday morning.

The Louisville Metropolitan Police Department’s Second Division officers made the discovery at approximately 9:45 a.m. in the vicinity of Lee’s Lane and Campground Road in the southwest part of the city of Louisville.

Laken Burres, who is 27 years old, was driving the vehicle, according to the police, and it sped away until it was located again by the LMPD’s Air Unit.

It was tracked by the helicopter until it arrived at the neighborhood of Portland, which is located at the intersection of 25th Street and St. Xavier Street.

Officers surrounded it and pushed it into a dead end alley there.

According to the authorities, Burres attempted to run once more and crashed into a government vehicle, a retaining wall, and an outbuilding, causing damage to all three of these structures.

After then, the police hauled her into custody and found the vehicle that had been stolen.

No one sustained any injuries as a result of the action. Burres is now being imprisoned at the Louisville Metro Corrections facility.
