Wisconsin Deputy Charged after Teen Reported Sexual Assault to Officers

According to the charges, a former deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is accused of sexual assault.

Aaron Yang, age 29, from Sparta, is accused of sexual assault in the third degree, sexual assault in the third degree, child enticement, and sexual intercourse with a child, according to a criminal complaint.

The victim stated that she had sexual contact and intercourse with Yang when she was 16 years old. The activities took place at Yang’s residence in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The criminal complaint states that the girl acknowledged having these experiences.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim began her relationship with Yang at Cranfest when she was 15 years old.

The victim told the police that the event took place during the months of February and March in the year 2023, as stated in the criminal complaint.

According to a news statement from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Sparta Police Department, has completed an initial investigation into an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred in Monroe County on May 13, 2024.

After being placed on administrative leave by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Yang tendered his resignation on June 27th, according to the press announcement made public.
