San Antonio, TX: Two additional men are still being sought by the police in connection with a capital murder that occurred last week on the Northeast Side during a botched robbery scheme.
For the killing of Cesar Estevan Garcia, who was 27 years old, Kiavon Dotson, who is 21 years old, was taken into custody on Saturday and charged with capital murder.
Around 4:30 p.m. on February 29, a fatal shooting took place in front of a warehouse located off Northeast Loop 410 East close to Wehman Drive location.
Garcia was located by the police close to the entrance of his place of employment. The individual was encircled by a number of round casings, in addition to a number of Glock “switches” that were contained within small plastic baggies.
In the video footage that was published earlier this week, security cameras captured the execution-style death, in which the victim was held at gunpoint before being shot in the back by two individuals.
Once the investigators were able to acquire access to the victim’s phone, they were able to locate social media communications that were sent between Dotson and the victim. In these messages, the victim allegedly requested Dotson to “pull up” and provided the address of his place of employment.
Additionally, it is said that Dotson provided the victim with a description of his vehicle, which was a black Hyundai, and let him know where he was located in the parking lot.
An image of Dotson’s profile on a social media platform, which investigators linked to his mugshot from 2023, allowed the police to recognize him as a possible suspect in the case.
Investigators made contact with a member of Dotson’s family, who, according to the police, accurately identified him in the video captured by the surveillance camera. When Dotson returned home that evening, the family member also told the authorities about his arrival.

Reportedly, Dotson confessed to being engaged in the homicide when he was questioned by the police. He stated that he and another people fired at the victim while another individual waited in the getaway vehicle. Dotson was apprehended by the police at the residence itself.
The authorities claim that Dotson told them that he had meant to steal the victim of gun components, but that the shooting occurred because the victim resisted his attempts to rob him.
There is a bail of $500,000 that is being held for Dotson at the Bexar County Jail.
