Two Apprehended following Police Pursuit Spanning Tri-cities in connection with ongoing Homicide Probe in Washington

Kennewick, WA: Two individuals were apprehended following a police pursuit across all of Tri-Cities on Thursday.

An investigation has been ongoing since August 6, 2023, into the case involving 25-year-old Katelynn Vinson following the death of 36-year-old Daniel Bueno.

The KPD Criminal Apprehension Team, Tri-City Regional SWAT, KPD K9, and METRO Detectives made efforts to find Vinson in the 400 block of South Conway Street in Kennewick around noon on Thursday.

According to the police, detectives discovered sufficient evidence from a different incident on Wednesday evening to apprehend Vinson for Felony Harassment. Vinson had allegedly made threats to kill someone.

Vinson led police on a chase through Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland before crashing her car. Following a car accident, authorities reported that Vinson was taken into custody on charges of second-degree murder, felony harassment, and attempting to elude.

Authorities reported that Joe Gonzalez, 39, was behind the wheel during the pursuit and was taken into custody for aiding a criminal and trying to escape.

Several law enforcement agencies collaborated in making these arrests. The arrested individuals are presently in police custody.
