An individual was reported to have engaged in sexual assault against a young girl for an extended period. The incident occurred when the perpetrator brought the victim to a shed in a home daycare setting, where explicit photographs were taken.
A Texas man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison and ordered to pay $50,000 in restitution to the family of a girl, as stated in a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Texas on July 18.
“The defendant’s actions have caused significant harm to the young girl, as a result of his premeditated and predatory sexual behavior,” stated U.S. Attorney Jaime Esparza for the Western District of Texas in a press release.

According to federal officials, on Dec. 15, 2022, Rodney Allan Felux, 45, committed a disturbing act by taking explicit photos of a 7-year-old girl in a shed. The attorney representing Felux did not promptly reply to McClatchy News’ request for comment.
The child was seen in the photos wearing a dress adorned with unicorns and other cartoon graphics. There were noticeable bumps on her legs that seemed to be insect bites, as described by prosecutors in a complaint filed on January 11, 2023, in U.S. District Court. According to prosecutors, the girl recounted the events involving Felux to her mother that day.
The mother immediately contacted the authorities. After four days, the police managed to locate Felux’s phone at his residence in Floresville. During their search, they also discovered additional photographs, as stated in the complaint.
According to the criminal complaint, images captured on June 21, 2022 and Dec. 15, 2022, were deemed as the production of illegal content involving minors. Deputies and FBI agents have discovered numerous photos showing young girls involved in explicit activities.
According to court documents, the 7-year-old recounted disturbing incidents at the daycare where she was blindfolded and subjected to sexual assault by Felux. In January 2023, Felux was taken into custody and later admitted to the crime of sexual exploitation of children in January 2024, according to prosecutors.
