Texas Cop Took Drunk Woman to Her Home and Molested Her; Charged and Terminated after Woman Reported Incident

A police officer from Lewisville faces serious allegations of escorting a woman who was under the influence to her home and subsequently assaulting her while in uniform, as detailed in a recently acquired arrest affidavit by FOX 4.

Officer Filemon Perez faces charges of sexual assault and official oppression. Earlier this month, he stepped down from the department after receiving a warning about an impending termination.

An incident reportedly occurred on Nov. 28 at approximately 1 a.m. in the woman’s apartment located in Lewisville.

According to the affidavit, the woman reported that she and her friend visited a nearby bar following their dinner. She acknowledged having wine during dinner and enjoying multiple drinks at the bar. After having a disagreement with her friend, she chose to walk home, which was less than half a mile away.

The woman reported to the police that she had been drinking and was having difficulty walking home, prompting her to pause on the curb outside the leasing office.

An officer identified himself as “Officer Charles” and approached the woman to check on her well-being, according to the affidavit.

The woman expressed that she felt secure with the officer, noting that her father had served as an officer for a decade.

Once the officer escorted her to her apartment door, the woman claims the officer lingered, remarking on her beauty and requesting a glass of water, according to the arrest report.

The woman recounted that upon entering her apartment, the officer remarked on her attractiveness, leaving her feeling uncomfortable, though she chose to dismiss the comment.

The woman informed authorities that she activated additional lighting throughout her apartment. An officer remarked, “Is that where the magic happens?” while gesturing towards the bedroom door illuminated by one of the lights, as stated in the affidavit.

The woman reported that the officer advised her to keep quiet and then took her hand, kissing her on the lips.

The arrest report indicates that the officer forcefully pushed her onto the bed and proceeded to remove her pants. She claims the officer repeatedly insisted that this should remain a secret and then proceeded to assault her. She claims she attempted to shove him away, but it was futile.

The woman reports that the attack ceased when the officer became aware of his police radio. According to the report, he mentioned that he needed to take the call and then departed.

A woman contacted emergency services to report the attack and expressed her intention to pursue legal action.

An arrest warrant for Perez was issued on December 4. Last Monday, he surrendered at the Denton County jail. He was freed on the same day after securing a bond of $155,000.
