Tennessee Man Indicted by Jury after Man Slept with Minor and Recorded Explicit Activities; Later Send Videos over Internet

A guy who allegedly had inappropriate relationships with a juvenile was indicted by a federal grand jury in Middle Tennessee.

The Middle District of Tennessee’s US Attorney, Henry C. Leventis, declared that Daniel Kelly, 32, would face a federal child exploitation indictment.

In the spring of 2024, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) started looking into the case. Kelly is accused of contacting a minor over Snapchat and exchanging pictures with them. The youngster’s calendar for middle school was one of these pictures.

According to the indictment, Kelly made two trips in October 2023—during the underage child’s Fall Break—from Jonesboro, Arkansas to the Middle District of Tennessee.

Kelly allegedly had sex with the underage child on the travels, videotaped at least one of their encounters with his phone, and then provided the minor child a copy of the graphic footage via the internet.

Kelly may receive a required minimum term of 15 years in federal prison if found guilty.

On July 17, a federal grand jury in the Middle District of Tennessee indicted Kelly; on July 23, he was taken into custody in Arkansas.

The FBI’s Little Rock Field Office and Jonesboro Resident Agency are providing invaluable support to the FBI’s Memphis Field Office and Nashville Resident Agency in their investigation of the case.
