String of Unprovoked Stabbing Attacks in Queens: NYPD Searches for Knife-Wielding Suspect

In Queens, New York, a series of stabbing incidents has raised alarm due to their unprovoked and random nature. Over a nine-day period, five individuals have been victims of these attacks. The assailant, reportedly armed with a hunting knife, has been targeting people without any apparent reason or connection between the victims.

The incidents typically occurred in the early hours, between midnight and 8:30 a.m., predominantly in the southern part of Queens. Disturbingly, these attacks seem to happen without any provocation or prior interaction.

In one instance, following a verbal altercation on a bus, the suspect proceeded to stab a person. In another case, two men, aged 71 and 41, were stabbed separately while simply walking. Additionally, a woman was attacked from behind and stabbed in the torso as she walked home.

Video evidence shows the suspect behaving erratically, such as talking to himself and stabbing a bodega window. The police have increased their presence in the area, hoping to prevent further attacks and apprehend the suspect, who is believed to frequent the area where the stabbings occurred.

All victims fortunately sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The police continue to investigate and have also extended their inquiry to a similar stabbing in Brooklyn to see if it is related.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, and was last seen wearing a dark gray jacket, black pants, black shoes, and a blue mask.

The NYPD has deployed a substantial number of detectives to solve these cases and is appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the suspect’s capture
