Spokane, WA: Monday marked the initial court appearance of two males from Spokane who were charged with attempted kidnapping of two minors on March 15 in Spokane County Superior Court.
Two Spokane Valley residents, Nicholas Esteban Philipe, 35, and Ramon Simon Matias, 40, were allegedly pulled over in the parking lot of Altitude Trampoline Park as they were playing with two children, as stated in court records.
The two males allegedly trailed the kids for fifteen minutes, according to the kids.
It has been reported that one of the males instructed the children to board the car. Reportedly, the kids told an employee they were scared and sought solace at the trampoline park.
According to the court records, the worker thereafter went to the parking lot and challenged the individuals in the truck. According to the worker, the men pretended to be picking up the daughter of the truck driver.
The worker allegedly warned them to get out of there, and they were spotted idling at A Massage across the street.
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office deputies apprehended Philipe and Simon in A Massage’s parking lot following a 911 call from trampoline park staff.
They are both currently in custody at the Spokane County Jail on a child luring charge. The bond amount is $2,000.
