SNAP CalFresh Benefits: September Payment Dates and Amounts for California Recipients

Eligible Californians are set to receive SNAP or CalFresh payments in the near future. While some individuals have received funds on their EBT cards, there are still others who are patiently awaiting their allocation.

CalFresh benefits in California are distributed from the 1st to the 10th of September, meaning that SNAP users have five paydays remaining. Below are the maximum quantities available.

September eligibility for CalFresh (SNAP)

Make sure to check your SNAP case number if you can’t remember it. Next, check if your case number ends in 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. California will only have one remaining Food Stamp payment this month.

  • If your case number ends in six, you will receive rewards on September 6th.
  • Benefits for case numbers ending in 7 are issued on the seventh of each month.
  • A case number ending in 8 indicates that benefits will be distributed on the 8th of the month.
  • If the case number ends with a 9, benefits will be accessible on the ninth of the month.
  • A case number ending in 0 means that benefits are accessible on the 10th of the month.

Individuals whose case numbers end in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 can expect to receive their funds in the month of October. They have already been paid in September. It can be used even if it has been spent before.

Payment amounts for SNAP (CalFresh)

The amount of food stamps you receive is based on your household income and the size of your family. CalFresh benefits can increase if there are more people living in your household.

As an individual receiving SNAP benefits, you can receive a maximum of $291 in the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Therefore, this is also the highest possible amount that a person in California can receive. The numbers are expected to increase in October due to the COLA hike in 2025.
