Phoenix Cop Slept with Minors; Fired and Arrested after Several Allegations of Child Molestation Surfaced

A Phoenix Police Officer is facing multiple counts of sexually exploiting children. He was fired after the allegations,

An internal and criminal inquiry led to the termination of Daniel Rojas, a former communications employee, as confirmed by the police department with FOX 10 on September 3.

After being informed of “potential criminal acts” by Rojas in April of this year, the Phoenix Police Department began their investigation.

“In May, Rojas was interviewed as part of the criminal investigation, and placed on administrative leave,” Phoenix Police Sgt. Phil Krynsky said.

Later that month, in July, the Scottsdale PD informed the Phoenix PD that it, too, was investigating Rojas for possible criminal charges.

The prosecution documents indicate that on June 28, Instagram informed the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) about Rojas’s alleged child sexual assault content uploads.

The investigators eventually linked the account to Rojas, a Scottsdale resident. On Aug. 2, the Scottsdale Police Department apprehended him.

“Given the gravity of the allegations, the Phoenix Police Department has terminated Rojas’ employment,” Phoenix Police said. “The Phoenix Police Department takes these allegations seriously and are committed to a thorough and transparency investigative process.”

Child exploitation is one of six charges against Rojas.
