Comanche, TX: A group of 63 chihuahuas, who were rescued from a harsh living situation in Texas, are now being transported to Rhode Island.
Rescuers are amazed that all of them are in excellent health and just a few weeks away from finding their forever homes. Animal rescue workers were deeply saddened and appalled by the scenes captured in these pictures.
“The home lacks running water and electricity.” “And once again, both vehicles failed,” stated Sheenna Trahan, the Founder of Save a Tiny Adoptables.
Recently, workers made a surprising discovery in Comanche, Texas – chihuahuas living with their owner inside two cars.
She attempted to gather them all into a single vehicle with her. She wanted to monitor them closely, you know. “And then in the other vehicle, she had the others,” Trahan explained.
According to her, their daily outdoor release was limited to just a few hours.

“If we hadn’t been able to rescue all these dogs, she would have refused to leave their side.” “And they would have likely perished in the vehicles together,” Trahan stated.
The dogs are currently being taken care of by various rescues and shelters nationwide, including two located in Rhode Island.
The areas where dogs in Texas were living were covered in trash and debris. It is not clear whether the owner will face any charges or not.
