Oklahoma School Principle Inappropriately Touched Several Students during School Dance; Arrested after Several Reports

Bixby, OK- Bixby Public Schools fired Mickey Replogle after he was arrested on Saturday at a school dance. Replogle entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf when he appeared in court on Tuesday.

In November, he is scheduled to appear in court again.

Following claims that the former principal of Bixby High School was drunk and had improperly touched kids while chaperoning the school’s fall dance, the principal was placed under arrest.

The dance took place in Tulsa’s Renaissance Hotel, which is close to 71st and Garnett.

Bixby Superintendent Rob Miller wrote in a letter to parents that Replogle had engaged in inappropriate behavior, as reported by several adults and children.

Replogle was suspended from all duties following the arrest, and Tulsa Police launched an investigation.

Miller informed parents in a message on Monday that Replogle will no longer work for Bixby Schools.

A portion of his statement said:

“It distresses me that any child in Bixby Schools would feel unsafe or uncomfortable around any BPS employee, let alone a person in a leadership position…” “…I apologize to anyone who has been impacted by this incident and want to assure you that we are committed to regaining any trust that has been damaged…”

Miller moved Assistant Superintendent Kendall Still to Bixby High School in order to provide more support while the administration worked on a strategy to transition the leadership.

Superintendent Miller said that “the district will continue to actively support the Tulsa Police Department’s ongoing investigation” in a statement that was made public on Monday.

The district requests that you get in touch with Superintendent Miller, Tulsa Police, or an administration or counselor at the school if you have any information about this issue.
