Off-Duty Police Officer Arrested on DUI Charges in Orlando

Orlando, FL: An off-duty police officer has been arrested on DUI charges in Orlando.

Authorities say that at around 1:08 in the morning on Sunday, February 18th, patrol operations bureau deputies arrested Orlando Police Department employee Cesar Hernandez Castillo, 39, on a single charge of DUI.

In the vicinity of Park Boulevard and 86th Lane in Seminole, Florida, deputies noted that Hernandez Castillo was driving his Chevrolet Tahoe over a high center median.

When deputies approached Hernandez Castillo, they noticed that he was visibly impaired, with a strong odor of alcohol, bloodshot and glassy eyes, and no sense of balance.

Deputies said Hernandez Castillo declined to take a breath sample or do a field sobriety test.

The Pinellas County Jail was the destination of Hernandez Castillo’s arrest and subsequent charges of one count of Driving Under the Influence.
