A Davidson College staff member has been taken into custody following allegations that he covertly filmed women for over ten years.
Jeremy Witworth, 49, from Mooresville, faces a charge of felony secret peeping.
Mooresville Police reported that Witworth, an electrician for the college with campus access, was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 2.
Witworth received a secured bond of $10,000 and made a first court appearance on November 4.
Investigators suspect that there may have been more incidents, including filming in public places like stores and restrooms, that could date back over 15 years.
Officials are calling on anyone who might have had electrical work done by Whitworth or had an unusual interaction with him to reach out to Detective Crow at 704-658-9021.
The investigation is currently active and in progress.
