Honk News (New Jersey 2025) – A former school janitor from New Jersey has pleaded guilty to contaminating children’s utensils and cafeteria food with feces, urine, and bleach, resulting in a potential eight-year prison sentence.
On Monday, January 13, Giovanni Impellizzeri, 27, from Vineland, entered a guilty plea for second-degree official misconduct, as stated by Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.
According to Webb-McRae’s statement, he also admitted to third-degree possession of child sexual abuse material.
On October 31, 2023, Impellizzeri was taken into custody and faced charges including aggravated assault, tampering with food products, and endangering the welfare of children. Subsequently, he faced charges of second-degree official misconduct, as stated in a 2023 announcement from the prosecutor’s office.
Detectives uncovered that Impellizzeri had child sexual abuse material in his possession, according to Webb-McRae.
On November 8, 2023, he faced charges for one count of possession and one count of distribution related to child sexual abuse material, according to her statement.
As stated in the release from the prosecutor’s office, on October 30, 2023, the New Jersey State Police initiated an investigation following anonymous tips received by authorities at Elizabeth F. Moore School regarding videos shared on a social media platform.
On November 2, 2023, an affidavit of probable cause revealed that officials at the school for grades 3-5 had received anonymous tips concerning posts observed on the encrypted messaging platform Telegram.

According to the affidavit, Impellizzeri was sharing highly unsettling videos of himself during work hours.
A source reported that during a discussion on a Telegram group, they observed Impellizzeri sharing messages and videos of himself in what seemed to be a school environment, engaging in inappropriate activities with school items and actions that could jeopardize the safety of students at the institution.
According to the affidavit, videos and posts saved by the tipster from Telegram revealed Impellizzeri engaging in inappropriate behavior with various school utensils and items.

According to the affidavit, he “was observed engaging in masturbation and urinating on pillows and kitchen bowls.”
A video depicted him “applying bleach into a container of cucumbers that were subsequently provided to children at the school, with the aim of endangering the students,” as stated in the affidavit.
Footage revealed Impellizzeri engaging in disturbing behavior, utilizing several slices of bread inappropriately and contaminating them before returning them to the container intended for children’s meals, as stated in the affidavit.
Impellizzeri has been serving as a custodian for the Upper Deerfield Township Board of Education since 2019.

In the announcement made in 2023, the prosecutor indicated that the district collaborated closely with the health department to guarantee that food preparation, utensils, and surfaces were adequately sanitized.
Authorities gathered bodily fluid samples from the accused to assess the risk of infectious disease transmission to individuals who consumed the tainted food at the educational institution, it reported.
Parents expressed outrage upon discovering the actions taken by the custodian at the school.

In a hearing on Monday, Assistant Prosecutor Lindsey Seidel inquired whether his intention behind contaminating food and items in the school was to cause harm to the children.
He acknowledged having videos on his cell phone that showed child sexual abuse, including explicit content featuring toddlers and infants, as per testimony.
