Nebraska Teacher Admits to Child Sexual Abuse with ‘No Contest’ Plea, Receives Probation

Omaha, NB- Thursday was the day that a teacher in Omaha entered a plea of “no contest” to allegations of child sexual assault.

It has been reported that Reverend Montel Jones Jr., a former educator at the Omaha Street School, has modified his plea to “no contest” in response to the accusation of sexual abuse by a school employee in the third degree.

After that, Jones was given a sentence of two years of unsupervised probation, which contains a list of thirteen legislation that Jones is required to stay in compliance with. In addition, Jones was put on notice that he is required to register as a sexual offender.

It is a class IV felony, which means that the maximum sentence for this offense is two years in jail, one year of post-release monitoring, and/or a fine of ten thousand dollars.

According to the documents filed in the court, Jones and a young lady who attended Omaha Street School had spoken with one another over Instagram in order to engage in sexual activities.

These actions included inviting the young lady to TopGolf and exchanging sexual favors for monetary compensation.
