Atlanta, Georgia: A mother and daughter from Northeast Atlanta, Georgia were successfully rescued from a dangerous hostage situation when authorities responded to their plea for help.

The Atlanta Police Department shared information about the incident in a press release over the weekend. Officers were dispatched to a residence in Northeast Atlanta on Friday after receiving a tip about a domestic dispute, according to the department.

Upon arriving at the scene at approximately 10 p.m., officers encountered a woman who was said to be uncooperative. However, before departing, she silently mouthed the words “help me,” as stated in the press release.
