Mother and Boyfriend Accused of Severe Child Abuse Face Court in Hawai’i; Toddler Suffered Burns and Fractures

A mother from Hawai’i Island appeared in court on Monday to address charges related to a child abuse case.

Lahiki Caitlyn Fujio Judd entered a plea of not guilty in response to a series of child abuse charges. A young woman is facing allegations of mistreating and neglecting her toddler daughter.

Judd has become a co-defendant alongside her boyfriend, Clayton Saragosa, who was taken into custody in March. Additionally, he has been accused of mistreating and neglecting Judd’s daughter.

When the young child was arrested in March, authorities reported that he was taken to the emergency room with burn marks, signs of dehydration, malnutrition, bruising, and fractured bones.

According to the police, the child’s condition required her to be transported to O’ahu for additional medical care.

Saragosa has been released on bail in the amount of $100,000. Meanwhile, Judd is currently on supervised release and is scheduled to appear in court again next Tuesday.
