Florida Couple Charged with Child Abuse After Two Children Found Naked and Covered in Feces

Two individuals are facing charges of child neglect following the discovery of two children running unclothed and covered in feces, as reported by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

According to reports, OCSO deputies observed a young boy running without clothing in the vicinity of Green Acres Road and Green Acres Boulevard around 9 a.m. on Sunday.

As per a post on the OCSO Facebook page, the young boy was observed sprinting across four lanes of traffic, narrowly avoiding collisions with vehicles. Deputies successfully ensured his safety in the end.

Deputies discovered the child covered in his own waste and promptly attended to his hygiene, ensuring he was cleaned and wrapped in a towel.

He was identified and taken to a residence near Fort Walton Beach, where they discovered another unclothed child, who was also covered in feces.

As per the report, authorities discovered extremely poor conditions in the residence, with prescription medications easily accessible to five children, all of whom were under the age of 12.

According to reports, the findings resulted in the apprehension of Danielle Katheryn Roberson, 34, and Jacob Allyn Roberson, 32. Both individuals are facing charges of five counts of child neglect without great bodily harm.

Jacob was released from jail on Monday afternoon, while Danielle is still in custody.

The incident is also being investigated by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
