The authorities state that the chair landed on Broadway and almost hit two police officers. The chair was just three feet away from the officer. Had the chair hit the cop, it could have resulted in the fatal injury of the cop.

The authorities started questioning the witnesses after the incident. The officers also examined the surveillance cameras and found that the singer threw the chair and laughed about it. Witnesses also reported the same behavior of the singer.

According to Warrick Robinson, Wallen’s lawyer, the musician is cooperating well with the authorities, and his detention was verified late Sunday. His court date is set for May 3, and he was released from detention.

Wallen is a household name in modern country music. The most popular record in the United States last year was “One Thing at a Time,” his third studio album from 2023. It topped the Billboard 200 for 16 weeks in 2023, putting him in first place for 30% of the year.
