Missouri Man Arrested After Multi-Agency Chase, Suspect Armed and Child Found in Car

On Saturday, an attempted homicide and kidnapping suspect was apprehended through the collaborative efforts of four distinct law enforcement agencies.

A suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, was observed making a drive from Jackson County into Johnson County on September 28, as reported by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol attempted to stop the suspect on 50 Highway, but the individual failed to comply.

Upon entering Warrensburg, the suspect was met by deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department and officers from the Warrensburg Police Department, who deployed stop sticks to puncture the vehicle’s tires. Despite this, the suspect continued to evade capture.

The individual returned to westbound Highway 50 with flat tires, at one moment colliding with a deputy’s patrol vehicle.

The vehicle reached the 1800 block of NW US 50 Highway while driving on its rims, until the Cass County Sheriff’s Office deployed its Grappler device to bring the car to a halt.

The individual in question was said to be carrying a firearm but chose to give themselves up to law enforcement and was apprehended without any additional complications.

A minor was taken into police custody from the vehicle.
