Gilbert, Arizona, police say a man who has a history of citations for lurking beneath women’s cars to stare at their feet did it again this summer during a car wash.
According to KSAZ, Jesse Michael Johnson, 28, is facing charges of disorderly conduct and voyeurism.
At the Super Star Car Wash on the corner of Riggs Road and Val Vista Drive, three women were vacuuming their SUVs when two distinct occurrences occurred.
“In these three incidents, defendant pulled into a parking spot next to the victim,” cops wrote. “While each victim was vacuuming her vehicle, the defendant hid under her SUV and spent several minutes under her vehicle. The defendant climbed out from under the vehicle when each victim was finishing her vacuuming and left the area.”
A man was caught red-handed by a surveillance camera. He was remanded to jail on a $10,000 bond after his arrest on Tuesday.
“At one point, you can see his head pop out on the driver’s side, looking up at me,” one of the women, Chanelle, told AZ Family. “I just never would have thought in a million years that there would be someone underneath of my car.”
The offender went back to his car and pretended to clean one of his tires, according to the surveillance tape.
“All of the victims had flip-flops and shorts on. That’s what we all had in common,” Chanelle said.
“Going into the community and doing this to women is absolutely disgusting and I don’t think he realizes what it’s doing to us as the victims,” Chanelle said.
Johnson was cited by Nebraska officials in June 2016 for hiding under a woman’s car to touch her feet. He was 20 years old at the time. Reportedly, this was his fourth citation for the year. As far as anyone can tell, Johnson was “sexually attracted to women’s feet” and said he was powerless over his “sexual desires” back then.
Reportedly, October 3rd will be the day of a preliminary hearing.
