A routine inspection of an after-hours club led to a significant cannabis seizure in the Bronx, according to Sheriff Anthony Miranda.

The incident occurred at the 416 Timpson Place building in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx on Saturday afternoon, according to Sheriff Miranda. Authorities were investigating the social club following multiple complaints from nearby residents.

Authorities have discovered a significant amount of illicit merchandise, valued at over $10 million. The sheriff stated that the items in question consist of cannabis flower, pre-rolled joints, candies with hallucinogenic properties, chocolates disguised as children’s treats, and other similar products.

Florida Man Arrested for Explicit Relations with Teen Girl; Used Drugs to Control Her; Busted after Victim Reported Incident to Police

This seizure is the largest one since the NYPD and New York City Sheriff initiated Operation Padlock in May to combat illegal marijuana sales. City officials express concerns about the negative impact of illegal marijuana sales on young individuals and the disruption caused to the legal cannabis industry.

“Today we’re responding to community complaints about the illegal sales of marijuana,” Miranda said. “This is actually illegal sales, not only packaging here. It’s exactly what we’re talking about, packaging toward our children. These are the things we say should not be distributed in our communities, and this is illicit product ,that is unregulated product. We don’t know what they’re mixing it with and selling to the communities right now.”

The investigation is still in progress. Currently, there have been no arrests made as per the source.
