A former therapist from a Harris County massage spa, found guilty of sexual assault, is facing a lawsuit from his victim, alongside the spa itself.
The civil suit, similar to the criminal complaint, alleges that Gregory Quintero sexually assaulted a client during a massage on December 28, 2021. He received a conviction for sexual assault and was sentenced to five years of probation.
The lawsuit seeks more than $1 million in damages.
The legal complaint states, “The massage started as expected, but Defendant Quintero exploited Plaintiff’s vulnerable condition to commit sexual assault.” The massage began as expected, but then Defendant inappropriately touched Plaintiff’s genital area without her consent.
After the massage, the individual reported remaining on the table in disbelief for several minutes before getting dressed. She then recounted the incident involving a receptionist.
The lawsuit further claims that the victim contracted a genital infection due to the unauthorized interaction.
Quintero was dismissed following the emergence of the allegations.
