Man Trafficked Minors and Adults for Sexual Exploitation; Sentenced in South Carolina for Brutal Crimes

Aaron T. Simmons, 26, of Greenville, South Carolina, was given a 365-month prison sentence and will be closely watched for life. He pleaded guilty in November 2023 to one count of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and one count of sex trafficking of a child.

The South Carolina district of the Department of Justice said the guy was facing federal charges of sex trafficking three women and a child over the course of a year.

On Tuesday, a federal grand jury in Florence charged Aaron T. Simmons, 26, with five crimes: three counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; one count of sex trafficking of a minor; two counts of traveling between states to help a racketeer; and one count of obstructing an investigation into sex trafficking as stated in a News Release by Department of Justice.

The case was looked into by the Greenville Police Department and the FBI Greenville Field Office.

The indictment says that Simmons forced three adult women to have commercial sex between August 2019 and August 2020 by using force, threats of force, and pressure. Simmons is also charged with illegally selling a child for sex.

Simmons is additionally charged with hindering the investigation in November 2021 by telling one of the victims to lie to police about the crimes.
