Man Sexually Molested Several Kids and Filmed the Abuse; Sent to Federal Prison for 100 years

A man from Springfield who admitted to making child pornographic videos has been sent to jail. Marcus Davis, who is 34 years old, was given a 100-year prison term this week.

The US Department of Justice says Davis sexually abused children from January 2022 to October 2023 and recorded the abuse on video. After that, he put the videos on a website that shows child pornography.

Federal court records show that he was caught during a Secret Service raid in October 2023. News Center 7 was there when the raid happened.

“Davis’s sexual abuse of a child is one of the worst things that can happen to someone.” “He chose to record his sexual abuse of the victims as if his behavior toward them wasn’t bad enough,” U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Parker said.

Two counts of making child pornography and two counts of spreading child pornography were dropped against Davis in February. Davis will never be able to hurt anyone else again because of this term, Parker said.

As News Center 7 previously said, Davis is also being charged with a crime in Clark County Common Pleas Court for allegedly raping a baby and a child who is two years old. In March, he was charged with four counts of rape.

When New Center 7 was charged in March, he went to Clark County Common Pleas Court. A deputy prosecutor for Clark County, Alice DeWine, said there that Davis’ case was “possibly the most heinous case that [she] has seen in a long time.”

The Clark County court case against him is set to start next week.
