Man Sentenced to Jail after Two Women Reported Him for Forced Explicit Relations in Wisconsin Restaurant

A Milwaukee County judge handed down a ten-year prison sentence to Karlos Soriano-Cabrera on Thursday, July 11. He will also face an additional ten years of extended supervision for his involvement in the sexual assaults of women.

Soriano-Cabrera was found guilty by a jury in June on four out of five charges, which included third-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree sexual assault. A fifth charge of third-degree sexual assault has been dropped at the request of the prosecutor.

Soriano was a collaborator at the Peruvian-inspired eatery C-viche located on Kinnickinnic Avenue in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood. Another branch in Shorewood was launched in the autumn of 2022. Soriano was also involved in Kompali, a taqueria on Brady Street, which also has a branch in 3rd Street Market Hall downtown.

Based on court documents, there were two separate assaults on two women that took place on the same night last fall. Additionally, there are two other counts related to incidents that occurred in the spring 2017.

Based on a criminal complaint, one woman informed investigators that she experienced a sexual assault on the same night when another woman reported being raped by Soriano as reported bu FOX6Now News.

Following the initiation of a police investigation, detectives interviewed two additional women who claimed to have been assaulted by Soriano in the past. One of the women recalled having a drink with Soriano and later waking up in her apartment, feeling vulnerable and in distress.

According to court documents, DNA evidence collected from two of the women has been confirmed to be a match for Soriano.
