Man Sent to Jail after Child Abuse and Molestation Allegations found to be True by Jury in Georgia

The Cobb County District Attorney’s Office has reported that a man has been found guilty of three charges of child molestation in addition to the charge of rape at the same time.

Forty-one-year-old James Westley was given a sentence of life in prison. between March of 2023, the mother of the victim reported that her daughter had stated that Westley had repeatedly assaulted her between the years 2021 and 2022.

This prompted the police to begin their investigation into the matter.

According to the office of the district attorney, Westly asserted that he was not present at the residence throughout the occurrences; nevertheless, the records of his cell phone demonstrated that this was not the case.

No, this is not Westley’s first time serving time in jail. A conviction for aggravated child molestation and molestation against relatives was handed down against him in the year 2003 in the county of Fulton.

The district attorney’s office stated that those victims testified in the most recent trial, describing abuses that were comparable to those that he endured throughout his ten years of incarceration as per Atlanta News First.

“We are deeply inspired by the victim’s bravery in coming forward to speak out against her abuser. Her courage was instrumental in securing justice and ensuring that the perpetrator can no longer harm others,” District Attorney Flynn D. Broady Jr. said in a statement.
