Man Identified Who Was Found Dead in Icy Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN: The authorities have identified the man who was found dead floating in Mille Lacs Lake, Minnesota. The man is identified as Richard Francis Gadbois, 80.

His body was discovered floating in Mille Lacs Lake, Minnesota, on Friday, after his vehicle sank through the ice on the lake.

Around 11 a.m. on Friday, the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a 911 call regarding a “truck and body through the ice on Mille Lacs Lake.”

The caller notified the Mille Lacs County Dispatch that he had discovered the corpse of an adult male floating in the water in an area of ice that had been penetrated by a truck. According to the operator, he successfully recovered the individual and took him to shore.

The emergency responders quickly reached there and transported the man to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to the sheriff’s office, Gadbois, who operated an ice fishing outfitter on Mille Lacs, was out assessing the ice conditions when the incident occurred.

The lake is located around 107 miles to the north of Minneapolis. The occurrence transpired in the vicinity of the MSA Flagship Inn, situated approximately 8 miles away from Isle.
