Honk News (Pennsylvania) – A 20-year-old man from Pennsylvania is facing multiple charges after allegedly attacking his parents and resisting arrest following a dispute over money for marijuana, according to police.
Incident Details
On January 5, police responded to a 911 call from a home on Sam Snead Circle in Newberry Township, located over 100 miles west of Philadelphia. The call, made by the father, reported that his son, Evan Gabriel Houseman, was assaulting his wife. Dispatchers overheard sounds of a struggle and Houseman shouting, “shoot me,” during the call.
Houseman’s mother explained to authorities that the violence began after she refused to transfer money for him to buy marijuana. She stated that an argument had started the previous night and escalated into threats of suicide.
The next morning, Houseman allegedly grabbed his mother’s head, forced it toward the floor, and placed her in a headlock, threatening to choke her unless she handed over his medication. He then released her and went to his room.
Violence Against His Father
When the father intervened, the situation worsened. According to the affidavit:
- Houseman threw a TV and Xbox down a staircase, damaging both and leaving marks on the wall.
- When his father went to inspect the damage, Houseman allegedly pushed him down the stairs, causing him to hit his head on the garage door.
- Outside, Houseman reportedly continued his assault, pushing his father to the ground and placing him in a headlock while threatening to kill both parents.
- After releasing his father, Houseman allegedly used a stick to damage his father’s vehicle.
