Man Busted with Nearly 3000 Files of Child Sexual Abuse; Accepted Amazon Gift Card after Selling in California

A 30-year-old man in San Bernardino County has been apprehended after authorities discovered that he possessed nearly 3,000 files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), as announced on Thursday.

Bradley Clarence Peck was apprehended by investigators from the Redlands Police Department on August 13th, in close proximity to his residence located in the 13300 block of First Avenue in Victorville.

Following two cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, detectives executed a search warrant at his residence. They discovered multiple electronic devices that contained over 2,950 instances of CSAM, as stated in a news release by Redland PD.

Officials have found that a 30-year-old individual, employed by a company with branches in Redlands and Rancho Cucamonga, utilized a KIK messenger app to distribute inappropriate content in around 20 exchanges with other users.

The release highlighted that Peck had been selling the images on various online platforms, such as KIK, in return for Amazon gift cards and cash transactions through his PayPal and Cash App accounts.

Peck was taken into custody at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino and later released after posting $30,000 bail.

This investigation is part of an ongoing operation by the Internet Crimes Against Children’s regional task force known as Online Guardian 2.0 to combat the disturbing issue of child exploitation on the internet. Authorities stated that the regional task force consists of law enforcement agencies from San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties.
