A man has been taken into custody in Orange County for reportedly trafficking a 17-year-old girl. According to the Anaheim Police Department, the individual has been identified as Taishaman Adams Arrant, aged 31.
On November 21, authorities were alerted to claims that a teenage girl was allegedly being used for commercial sexual activities. Detectives in Anaheim, with assistance from the FBI, initiated an investigation to find the victim.
Authorities have identified Arrant as the suspect, and shortly after, they located the teen girl and ensured her safety. Authorities reported that the suspect was found in the vicinity shortly thereafter.
Arrant, a convicted felon, was taken into custody and processed at the Anaheim Police Department’s Detention Facility. No further information about the arrest or how they were found has been disclosed.
On November 25, Arrant faced charges of human trafficking involving a minor, as announced by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He is still being held on bail set at $350,000.
