On Tuesday, a former city parish worker is going to be tried in federal court on charges that he sent an undercover investigator an obscene video of a child and talked about wanting to be sexual with other people.
Blake Steiner has to go to the U.S. District Courthouse on Tuesday afternoon for a trial and bond hearing.
Steiner was caught last week when his home in East Baton Rouge Parish was searched. A statement said Steiner used the “Kik” app to try to join a group. prosecutors say he told the agent he was “into teens” and interested in bestiality and incest to get in. He then sent the agent a video of child pornography involving a child younger than 13.
East Baton Rouge Parish said Steiner didn’t work directly for the city parish but for a company that did hiring and building inspections for the city parish. The city-parish told Steiner it would no longer work with them.
