Jay-Z, the renowned rap mogul and entrepreneur, faces serious allegations of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000, alongside the controversial music star Sean “Diddy” Combs, according to an amended complaint obtained by NewsNation.
A woman, referred to as “Jane Doe,” claims that two celebrities attacked her during an afterparty for the MTV Video Music Awards. In September 2000, following the Video Music Awards in Manhattan, a limousine driver extended an invitation to her.
The lawsuit was initially filed in October 2024, with Diddy as the sole defendant. Sunday’s revised complaint names Jay-Z as “Celebrity A,” who is alleged to have assaulted a 13-year-old while “Celebrity B,” a woman, observed.
Legal filings further allege that Jay-Z was present during numerous occurrences.
“He believes he is above the law. He is not,” the filing reads. “His close friend Shawn Carter has been with Combs during many such instances described herein. Both perpetrators must face justice.”
The lawsuit claims that Jay-Z has been involved in “orchestrating a conspiracy of harassment, bullying and intimidation against Plaintiff’s lawyers, their families, employees and former associates in an attempt to silence Plaintiff from naming Jay-Z herein.”
The record executive issued a detailed statement addressing the complaint. Jay-Z alleges that the attorney representing the 13-year-old accuser, along with others, tried to extort him.
“What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” Jay-Z’s statement reads in part. “No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”
Jay-Z expressed that his greatest sorrow lies with his family, particularly in how the allegations will impact the three children of the Carter-Knowles family. He expressed that his “heart and support” are with the “true victims in the world.”
“Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable,” the music mogul continued. “I look forward to showing you just how different I am.”
Diddy has entered a not-guilty plea regarding federal sex trafficking charges outlined in an indictment that was made public following his arrest on September 16. Accusations involve claims of long-term coercion and abuse of women, supported by accomplices and staff, with victims reportedly silenced through intimidation and violence, including kidnapping, arson, and physical assaults.
He will stay in custody until his trial on May 5, as his bond request was denied for the third time in late November.
Combs has been indicted following extensive speculation regarding a potential federal investigation linked to civil lawsuits that claim abuse and sexual assault over a period exceeding 30 years.
The charges claim that Combs attracted women with the allure of a romantic connection, only to resort to intimidation and threats to force them into prostitution at what are described as “freak offs.” Victims reportedly faced drugging and were instructed to participate in sexual activities with male sex workers for a prolonged duration, all while being recorded.
Combs reportedly retained certain videos, occasionally without the victims being aware.
The indictment states that Combs and the victims frequently needed IV fluids afterward because of physical exertion.
