Intro to Criminal Law, commonly known as Criminal Law 100 and referred to as How to Get Away with Murder by Annalise Keating, was a course given at Middleton University. It was initially taught for many years by Annalise Keating, but once her students’ grades began to slip, she was replaced by another professor. Annalise then persuaded the university’s president to offer her another class, one that would handle pro bono cases.

Following Annalise’s natural death, Christopher Castillo continues teaching the class, which he fittingly titles “How to Get Away with Murder.

From 2014 through 2020, ABC aired Shonda Rhimes’s smash legal drama “How to Get Away With Murder,” which introduced viewers to Philadelphia professor and criminal defence attorney Annalise Keating and the law students she employs as interns at her company. The narrative revolves around Keating, portrayed by Viola Davis, and her pupils, dubbed the “Keating Five,” becoming entangled in a murder plot.

Davis became an even greater household celebrity after the program ended, and many of the other cast members went on to additional TV, theatre, or film roles. Karla Souza, for example, is starring in the sitcom “Home Economics,” and Alfred Enoch has charmed London theatregoers as Romeo in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.” Some “How to Get Away with Murder” graduates are also exploring other interests. Before playing Annalise Keating on “How to Get Away with Murder,” Viola Davis was a Tony Award-winning actress who had gained praise for performances in films such as “The Help” and that didn’t alter once the program ended. She has since acted in films such as “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” and “The Suicide Squad,” and following her Oscar nomination for “Ma Rainey,” she became the first Black woman to be nominated for Best Actress several times, according to Glamour.

Davis is also the most nominated Black actress in Oscar history, with four nominations. “The only reason I’m smashing records is that no one has acknowledged me,” she said on Variety’s “Awards Circuit” podcast. “That ‘honour’ is a kind of restricted honour.”

2. Billy Brown

Fans of “How to Get Away with Murder” will recall Billy Brown as Nate Lahey, Viola Davis’ captivating love interest and the Philadelphia detective’s romance with Annalise Keating surely steamed up the screens. Prior to his role in the drama, he appeared in other TV shows such as “Sons of Anarchy.” Brown has been rather quiet on the acting front since the series ended in May 2020. He did, however, feature in the drama “Working Man” the year before the show ended.

He chatted with KTLA-TV in Los Angeles about the November 2020 film role and the bond his character, Walter Brewer, had in “Working Man.” Brown said of Walter’s relationship with Allery, a factory worker who continues to show up after his plant has been closed down, “Against the odds of corporate heads looking to permanently put all of these good hardworking Americans out of work, these two find a way to restore the dignity, love, and trust in one another and the town itself.

3. Alfred Enoch

Alfred Enoch is best known as Dean Thomas in the wizarding world, but he was also a fan favourite as law student Wes Gibbins on the series Enoch’s acting career flourished after the end of the show. He’s appeared in films such as “Executive Order,” “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” and “Foundation“. I appreciate my political commitment, and to be able to produce a movie that reflects that in my job is amazing,  Remezcla said of his character as a lawyer in “Executive Order.”

Enoch shared his personal experiences during the epidemic in a YouTube video posted by Shakespeare’s Globe. “I think I’ve had a more difficult connection with my mental health over the previous three months or whatever long,” he explained.

4. Jack Falahee

He’s most known for his role in “How to Get Away with Murder” as gorgeous law student Connor Walsh, but Jack Falahee is now in the limelight for a different reason: he’s the main singer of a band. Following his success on the series. Falahee formed the band Diplomacy with his boyhood buddy Tim Wu, popularly known as Elephante.

5. Aja Naomi King

The part of law student Michaela Pratt, performed by Aja Naomi King on “How to Get Away With Murder,” earned her an NAACP Image Award nomination. Following the conclusion of the program, King moved on to feature in Season 2 of “Blackout” alongside Rami Malek. She also appeared in “Sylvie’s Love,” a historical drama.

As a Black woman, King was drawn to the film because “the focus for once isn’t on the problems we confront from the outside world, but rather the struggles within ourselves,” she told Essence.
