Houston Attorney Shot Dead after He intervened to resolve a Dispute at McDonald’s; Shooter still on Large

Houston, TX: The Good Samaritan who was shot and killed at a West Houston McDonald’s over the weekend has been identified as a lawyer from Houston. Jeff Limmer died at the McDonald’s near Chimney Rock, which is off I-10.

People said the Houston lawyer would fight for what was right, and police say that’s exactly what the 46-year-old was doing on Saturday when, allegedly, an angry McDonald’s customer killed Limmer.

Along the Katy Freeway, there was yellow crime scene tape around the McDonald’s. It looked like a terrible murder scene. Greg Monteverde drove right by, but he didn’t know that the victim was his close friend from when they were 9 years old.

Texas Police say Limmer was at the McDonald’s on I-10 at Chimney Rock on Saturday around 6 p.m. when another guy got angry at the workers.

Police say the angry customer at McDonald’s took a gun from his car and shot and killed 46-year-old Jeffrey Limmer. Monteverde believes Limmer had a strong religion. They’ve been going to the same church since they were kids.

Police say they haven’t caught the shooter yet. He left the scene of the murder in a blue Ford pickup truck.
