A man in Brooklyn shot and killed his girlfriend after a fight over money and their kids, which his mother said she saw happen on Monday.
Teddy Knight, 35, and Tanezia Blockwood, 29, had been fighting for a long time. Late in the morning, Knight killed Blockwood by pulling out a gun in their Midwood apartment, his mother Norma Knight told The Post over the phone.
“He went into the cabinet and found a gun. He then started shooting her,” said Norma, 65, who lives with the couple in the flat at Avenue I and Ocean Avenue. “He shot her twice, she fell to the ground, and he stomped on her face.”
After that, he killed himself in front of his shocked mother, she said.
Police said they found the two dead bodies near a kitchen at 10:10 a.m., both with gunshot wounds to the head.
The couple’s last fight started in the middle of the night, which kept Norma awake, she said.
She said they fought until her son left and came back with the gun. The couple had been having problems in their personal lives for a long time before they killed each other.
