Georgia Authorities Arrested Man Accused of Child Abuse; Also Recorded Abuse for Pleasure: Records

Woodstock, GA- A Woodstock man who was previously charged with child sexual abuse has been taken into custody on additional counts of producing and obtaining child pornography.

Detectives from the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office detained Dustin Gottschall, 36, of Woodstock in November 2022 after he was accused of two counts of child molestation and aggravated sexual battery.

He was accused of five charges of child molestation, first-degree child cruelty, and aggravated sexual battery in his indictment, which was submitted the following month.

On January 27, 2023, he was freed on a $40,000 bond and put under home arrest, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office states that new charges were brought about by the evidence that detectives uncovered.

July 22 saw Gottschall taken into custody again. He is now also accused of five charges of possessing and five counts of making material intended for child sexual abuse.

He is still being held without bond at the Cherokee County Jail.
