A Hall County doctor has been taken into custody following allegations of sexual assault involving a woman and an underage girl.
Dr. Michael Lebow was arrested at his Gainesville home by Hall County Sheriff Deputies on Tuesday.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office initiated their investigation into the 52-year-old doctor two months ago.
A reported victim, who authorities stated is a minor, disclosed to investigators that she was subjected to assault in 2016. Another individual, a young adult woman, reported being assaulted in 2017.
Surprising revelation. I observe his presence in the office, as he frequently enters and exits. “It’s quite unsettling,” expressed a close acquaintance of Dr. Lebow, who preferred to remain anonymous.
Willis made a statement, saying:
Dr. Michael Lebow is not guilty of the charges brought against him. Dr. Lebow successfully completed two polygraph tests administered by highly skilled examiners in Georgia.
Furthermore, he willingly underwent a psychosexual evaluation that determined he does not exhibit pedophilic tendencies or any other form of sexual deviance.
“It is regrettable that the police decided to give credence to the allegations made by an adult woman, who had previously acknowledged engaging in consensual sexual activity with Dr. Lebow several years ago.” The events she is referring to allegedly took place 5-6 years ago.
University Surgical Vascular has issued a statement regarding the employment of Dr. Lebow:
We are currently looking into the matter. Ensuring the well-being of our patients remains our utmost priority. Plans are being put in place to ensure that patients who were previously under the care of Dr. Lebow receive the necessary medical attention.
No comment was made regarding his current employment status.
Currently, Dr. Lebow is facing serious charges of child molestation and aggravated sodomy, which are considered felony offenses. The investigation is still in progress and there may be additional charges.
