Florida Mom Accepts Plea Deal for Child Abuse; Avoids Prison after Brutally Beating 3-year-old Son

Miami, FL- A mother from Sunny Isles Beach was captured on camera engaging in physical abuse towards her 3-year-old son. She has recently confessed her guilt and is now officially a convicted felon.

During a court appearance on Thursday, Yulia Storozhuk, 29, displayed strong emotions as she accepted a plea deal that she had worked out with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office.

A person named Storozhuk, who was captured on a neighbor’s Ring camera footage mistreating a 3-year-old child, has been sentenced to three years’ probation instead of jail time.

As part of the agreement, she will be required to undergo a mental health evaluation and attend a parenting class.

Despite the disturbing incident captured on surveillance video, the ultimate objective is for Storozhuk to be able to reunite with her child.

Storozhuk’s case in dependency court is still ongoing. According to NBC6, the child victim is reported to be doing well and is currently in the care of a foster family.

An attorney representing the child in dependency court expressed their objection to the plea deal accepted by Judge Carmen Cabarga.

Cabarga mentioned that she thoroughly examined all aspects of the case, including a psychologist’s suggestion to eventually reunite the child and mother.

Cabarga issued a stern warning to the mother, emphasizing the consequences of physical discipline and the potential for jail time.

Storozhuk, a Ukrainian national, may face deportation after accepting the plea deal.
